they are destributed by a company called asi they also supply all the crossman guns so if the gunshop seels crossman and they get it off asl they will be able to get you 1 hope this helps

What are the advantages of a pistol?

If you're shooting live targets, a pistol has no advantage at all. I use an EB22 and King Ratty amongst other things, and it's very hard to place an accurate shot with a pistol compared to a rifle. Pistol's are fun and in VERY skilled hands they can be ok (at best) for close range small vermin shooting. There's no reason why you should choose a top class pistol, over even a basic rifle at all for pest control.
