Yokel Matt 918 Posted February 24, 2009 Report Share Posted February 24, 2009 Pin the skin out and give it a good going over to get rid of any flesh attached, then try soaking it in a bauxite / alum solution that you can get from a chemish (or just try washing power). Leave it for a couple of days, pin it out again and dry it off, giving it a good rub down with something similar to a pummace stone (dont be too hard though) repeat this again and you should have something relatively supple. reece-08 0 Posted February 24, 2009 Report Share Posted February 24, 2009 this is how i do them to get the lurcher pup retreiving skin the rabbit then unfold the skin (this is if you do rabbits same as me )cut around the skin to seperate it from the head then cut down it to open it up then i put lots of salt on it completely over the skin with salf (just the inside) then leave it a day in the shed or whatever then peg it on the washing line to get some air to it til the skin goes hard then rub it all down try and get most of the salt off then after a few days of use it should loosen up again;) Quote Link to post Share on other sites
