Guest little terriers

:realmad: hve been to many shows this tear all overr and have no been inpessed with the way the shows have been run many people not hearing classes and you cant also c the full figure of the dog as the grass is hidding there feet as in the jrgb book and the fors u recevie once joining say the feet must be cat like how can u tell if the grass is covering there feet it would be great if there was sumthing laid so u could see them

I GO TO A LOT OF SHOWS AND RUN THE HARTLEPOOL ONE. I ALSO JUDGE, SOME SHOWS PUT BOARDS DOWN SO YOU CAN SEE THERE FEET BUT A LOT OF DOGS HATE BEEN PUT ON THEM, I,VE SEEN DOGS REFUSE TO GO ON THEM, I ONCE WENT TO ONE SHOW AND THEY HAD PAVING DOWN AND THAT SEEMED TO WORK, THE DOGS DIDN,T MIND THAT. LOWTHER HAVE PAVING SLABS DOWN ...NEVER SEEN A DOG REFUSE TO GO ON THEM

Why not get a copy of the show program and look at the classes as the come in, then you'll know when your class is up. Not every club can afford PA equipment and so rely on people to actually pay attention to what's going on. If folk miss their class it's generally their own fault.

You have a valid point with long grass, either slabs in the centre of the ring or cut the grass!

The judge should be close enough to see anyway!

i have run a good few shows and find that dogs hate to stand on boards they feel unsafe we also tried paving slabs which are fine as long as its not a very hot day as they become very uncomfortable for dogs to stand on a mate of ours uses the plastic covers the gas board use to cover holes and they seem to be fine as they are ribbed and not slippery .

I,M GETTING A PA FOR MY SHOW NEXT YEAR MY THROAT IS STILL BAD FROM SHOUTING AT THE LAST ONE. STEVIE HAVE YOU JUDGED BEFORE COS I,LL BE LOOKING FOR TERRIER JUDGES FOR NEXT YEAR.

i never complain about terrier shows or judges as running a show or judging one is a thankless task
