milo2005 0
im no gun smith but is that possible with an aas410? i would say you can do it with most rifles ,yo will just need to get the bits Quote Link to post
Guest noluv6
im no gun smith but is that possible with an aas410? possible with any gun. Fact is if you change cal it will either make pellet faster or slower depending which way you do it. I'm sure that if you go from 177 set up to 22 it will make the 22 fly faster and break the law and if you go from 22 to 177 it will go slower. Either that way or the opposite. Quote Link to post

ghillies 209
.177 to .22 powers up usualy... Quote Link to post
Timelord 0
.177 to .22 powers up usualy... Agreed ghillies but I know that milo knows what he's doing with his Rapid .177 in PCP uses more air than .22 to push the pellet out. With my S-TYPE in .177 I get 500 shots from a 500cc bottle whereas in .22 they get 700 shots from the same size bottle... These are S-TYPE statistics because they are fully regulated, on the chrono I'm getting 11.67ft/lb @ 780 fps with Air Arms Field Diablos 8.44 grains. The heaviest pellet I can find in .177 is the JSB Exacts heavies @ 10.4 grains and on the chrono I get 11.96ft/lb - 11.99ft/lb max. I can't find a heavier pellet on the market and I can rest assured if the FEO chronos my gun it will be legal all the way Quote Link to post
milo2005 0
177 ues's more air then .22 i have LOST about 100 shots per charge ,changing to .177,but it will fly a lot flatter Quote Link to post

milo2005 0
its just a figure an example, your right 600 is about right Quote Link to post
milo2005 0
As I said legal maximum for an unlicensed air rifle is 12 ftlb which from changing round the above formula, gives the approximate values as follows:- A .22 pellet weighing 14.4 grains, maximum permissible speed is 612 ft/sec A .177 pellet weighing 7.9 grains, maximum permissible speed is 826 ft/sec The corresponding figures for a pistol are 433 ft/sec for a .22 and 584 ft/sec for a .177 The pellet weights used in the above calculation are typical weights for the sizes of pellet but you must always check the actual weight of your pellet before performing your own calculation Quote Link to post
ghillies 209
yup jsb heavies are a good un in a .177 rapid, but they dunt half lose a bit of velosity.. i use about 300 shots a fill in .177 from a 400cc botle filled to 200 bar.. i can fill more and get about 450 shots but the fills work out better doing the 300 shots. (its reged and tuned..and curently at 11.45fp.. dropes by the odd one or two feet per sec varience every few shots in pritty much a straight line gragh.. suits me... ) Quote Link to post
