Guest Scuba1
I loaded up the car this morning with a lot of stuff that my mother does not want any more and being a nice sunny day drove down to the rubbish tip, only to be " greeted " by two blokes standing outside the gate telling me " Sorry mate, the tip is closed as it is to dangerous in there with the snow and stuff. Come on guys the roads are mostly dry apart from some damp patches and the car parks in front of the supermarkets are fine to, so why cant they just sling a shovel or two of grit on the ground there and be done with it. I think its just a bloody excuse for having a lazy day. You don't need two blokes standing outside the gate redirecting people. One will do and the other could have gotten rid of the bits of snow that may have been left on the path's there. AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGG i feel better now apart from having all that stuff still in the car. ATB Michael

Guest Scuba1
No i won't because i phoned up another tip, ok so its 30 miles down the road but it was open and I got rid of the stuff. Same weather as here but the people there had everything sorted and even helped me to unload as there was a lot of stuff in there as well that could still be used. Just got back now and I am going up there again tomorrow with a load of tools that are not needed here any more but there I know, that those guys will like to have them and the ones here are not getting any of that. Never mind the distance. ATB Michael
