happylamper 7 Posted January 18, 2009 Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 i have lurcher with a problem with is tail he has got such a hard wack when it hits you also he hits it against wall motors anything really its starts to bleed and i'm sure he may of loss abit off the end but he does'nt show any signs of discomfort. Hannah4181 260 Posted January 18, 2009 Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 Best thing to do is put some vet wrap quite thick round the end to give the tip some padding, that way when he hits it on objects it won't open up again, and give it a change to heal completely. Make sure you don't do the vet wrap too tight. Quote Link to post
happylamper 7 Posted January 18, 2009 Author Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 i have lurcher with a problem with is tail he has got such a hard wack when it hits you also he hits it against wall motors anything really its starts to bleed and i'm sure he may of loss abit off the end but he does'nt show any signs of discomfort.its a pain when this happens had the same problem took ages to heal some have to have some tail off same here my other dog had to half of tail off been out lamping with my dog comes home gets up later goes to the dogs i notice is tail was bleeding half way up had alook at him felt the tail where it was bleeding it felt so cold, i rang the vets had it taken off half way which the vet wanted to take all of it off i said no just before the damage will do.he could`nt tell me what could of happened just said he sees this quiet often.but i still have him he`s done me proud heis only 6yr old done plenty since the tail off lacks abit on the turn but nowt major.as you can on my gallery more pics up next weekend.cheers Quote Link to post
