lofti 579 Posted January 18, 2009 Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 id getting him jumping asap personaly, ive got two 5 1/2 month old pups and they have to jump a 26" board every time they leave and enter the back yard, i will slowly move it up so they jump higher over time. saying "over" every time they ready to jump. hope this helps mate. lofti. marko 30 Posted January 19, 2009 Report Share Posted January 19, 2009 good advice i always say over with fences and walls ,you could also try the pup on small sandstone walls and moving on to bigger if using small walls to start i used to get over them myself first and then call and encourage the dog,and with praise if she does it. jack pyke 4 Posted January 19, 2009 Report Share Posted January 19, 2009 hi i used to put a board up in garden with dogs food at other side he would jump over straight away when he seen his bait. and just when out walking when you come up to a wall or fence jump over and shout for dog to follow. he or she will soon learn just keep at it. hope this helps.
