Fieldsporthunter 1,864 Posted January 18, 2009 Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 my lurcher lost a toe nail on her back right foot a while ago, after four weeks rest it healed up great. the problem is every time the toe nail starts to grow back and the dog runs she will loose it again. i know the score with most injuries and problems i come across but ive never had a problem like this before now, so all advice will be much apprieciated. Guest chook Posted January 18, 2009 Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 If it was me i would get a vet to check it out, it could be she has a week nail bed, they can remove the nail bed and close it up, but she will be off that foot for a while, there are also vits you can give to strengthen the nail up, but have never tryed them so dont know if they work.
