snareman 3
I'm looking to do a bit of snowshoe hare snaring in the next few weeks and was wondering if anybody has every done this. I've had a few tries but havent found the right size snare loop yet so if anyone has any suggestions for snare size.thanks. use approx. a 9 inch loop and set higher around 8 inches to bottom of loop . your rabbit snares were set with a small loop in those snow holes , if out on open trails they need to be larger and set higher , or hang them from branches if going under brush. but keep part of the loop slightlyabove over lying branch to break up outline or chalk part of the loop. Rolfe 2
Just remember......... that a trapped hare will make enough noise to wake the dead Rolfe. Quote Link to post
