have shot on permision for 7 years and had rights for three we do have deer but do not stalk for sport as i am not on the land as often as a would like,I asked the farmer to moniter the deer and if he had a problem with them then we would cull. Up to now no problems no cull we have had 5 road kills as far as we know and the surounding land is stalked .One thing we have noticed since a wind farm was erected we don't see as many deer on the place this may be just down to disturbance by the daily maint check on the windfarm or they just could have moved on .I do agrea that the shooting of dear is being heavly premoted by adds in magazines if its to help with a managed cull and it's not at a silly price ok but if its for income alone then their soon will be nowt to stalk as their are plenty of folks with the dosh to go out and kill day after day.So we must be thankfull for the sense the majority of the hunting people who manage the land over wich we hunt who take the view that they are here to make sure that all types of hunting will servive for the future including the upkeep of a healthy stock of game SHOOTING CAN BE SPORT AND MANAGEMENT .
