I guys would a lurcher lose its edge if it wasnt ran for afew weeks??

reason i ask is i hadnt had myine out over xmas cause the grounds been to hard, took him out and put him on 6 good rabbits walked up on them kicked um up slipped the dog. hes still only 13month and has been doing great on the rabbits last few times hes hit 4 out of 6 runs but this night me missed all of them.

he didnt look as sharpe like health wise he seems fine bust wondering if they lose there fitness like

Never heard a more stupid question..... you have answered it yourself the dogs out of condition... Also what do you think that lads get rid of the dogs for the summer months as they will loose there edge... :blink:

 

The same applied for my mates dogs yet they managed to pick up where they left off nailing the rabbits....! Am a novice when it comes to dogs i didnt post the question to gain critism ...!

Hes just unfit give him a few weeks and he be back to normal

yours is thirteen month mate and cause the ground hard dont mean a good bit of road work wont go a miss ;)
