dean 29 27 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Share Posted January 10, 2009 (edited) Anyone got any ideas, got a mark 1 locator, used it two weeks ago, was working fine, got it out the cupboard yesterday tried it before going ferreting, wouldnt work, put new batteries in it still wouldnt work, just wondering if this has happened to anyone else or if they have any ideas how to fix it or where to get it fixed, im in south wales. macker 5 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Share Posted January 10, 2009 try to open it up and check the wires that lead to the board from the battery have fixed a few boxes over the years and found a few with a falty wire or joint at the board from the wire that comes from the battery to the board the one that goes under speaker especially. worth a go. macker Quote Link to post Share on other sites
redeye jedi 39 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Share Posted January 10, 2009 nice one macker, saved me writing that. if thats not the problem then you must assume a damaged track, or component. im going to test my box and get all the current readings for the diods just in case it goes tits up atleast i can test each one has the correct currents passing each way.
