Guest MURPHY
I find it better for hunting because you can keep the gun cocked so when you spot something you dont have to mess around. I havent shot a spring lightning in years so i cant tell you the difference. Quote Link to post

Guest air gunner
Same i am thinking about getting a new propulsion method for my supersport. gas or spring?! from what i have heard gas rams are amazing but apparently have a sharper kick but as said can also be left cocked without the worry of the spring fading (because there is no spring). if you do get one could you post the results. m.hubbard 1
im just wondering if it allready has one as mines quite sharp and sensitive on the old trigger. iv seen someone selling one here so io may give it a go .does any have a good idea on how much it costs to fit one? plus as i understand it u can cock ur rifle ready weather its a spring or not . u judt dont leave it ready for any period of time? .m Quote Link to post
Guest air gunner
yup you really dont want to leave your spring rifle cocked for long i did and it lost the power of my spring.! and it is handy being cocked as i find when lamping you just want to raise you rifle and squeeze rather than cocking it on the spot and having the bunny run off to it hole. My friends rifle has a sharp kick too but i can see the spring so it isnt a gas ram can you see yours with the stock removed?. Quote Link to post
