ACD Pup Mooch in the Snow

Recommended Posts

Guest night time my time

fireman and i had a great mooch out today with the very old to the very young.love getting out roughing with a good pack, the plummers and the lurchers, was a beautiful bright cold sunny day,we both have cattle dog pups of differnt crosses to join our team in the near future and were talkeing about what an asset they should be to our little roughing pack, all dogs were really up for it today, something to do with the cold air in their noses i recon, not much of a bag taken but cant beat watching them all work like that, makes a poor man rich to be able to watch his dogs work like that, roll on the acd xs,just know they're going to fit right in,my kennals are quiet tonight, all are sleeping well, wish we'd took a camara :)

Thats a nice looking Dog Wild Rover. I had Simon Dixon up here to stay with me for some Ferreting years ago on the North Yorkshire Moors. He had 'Breeze' and his then young Dog 'Chance' with him, 2 very nice Dogs and a credit to Simon.

Thanks mate, yea sadly both those dogs no longer with us, I had a black speckle dog from the first litter , same as breeze, I have another black dog red and blue speckle aged 9 half brother to Chance, the little whippet x acd is from wales , going well.

I think i know the Black Dog you mean. Simon gave me a bit on tape, i liked the look of that Red Dog from that litter, i think a Lad called John? got him and i think they called the Dog Jake. On the tape it shows you a White Dog called Tucker, it was by Jake to Simons old Collie Cross Bitch Meghan, stunning looking animal.

It's been a long time since i spoke to Simon last, is he still into his Spaniel's?

Yep John had Jake, mean son of a bitch, big powerful dog, long dead but worked all legal quarry then, Megan (meg) was the lurcher I posted doing a 100 on the lamp, great lamper.

Yea Simon big into field trials now.

The black dog in the first litter, Flint was great worker, nose and drive like a springer, the one I have now aged 9 has been a good un as well , not many first x here now, have been infused with bull, not my cuppa. Thats why I bought the pup.

Rob Moore was the bloke with the kelpie cross off D Sleight, I remember M Chapmans Bob also, Kev had possum from Simons first litter, Phil Lloyd, John Newt, Simon and me all had them. All long dead, my dog is probably the last of that line, some about but with bull added.

Seems we know the same people have we met I wonder?
