rabbit_killer 2
hello mate my advice to you is ask yourself what you will gain from the extra ft/lb in my eyes and knowing what its like first hand to have mohammed im hard bruce lee full blown armed responce bods jumping all over me!! its not worth the upset, always stay within the law its easyer safer and less to worrie about, if you are strugling with your rifle at 10.2 ft/lb you need to ask WHY? and is it your field craft? i have a ratty here that is runing at aprox 7ft/lb and i can still kill my rabbits and rats humanely ITS NOT THE GUN ITS THE FIELD CRAFT yes i cant take a 40 yard shot but it means i have to sneak creep crouch lie crawl lay and that is what field craft is all about this is a great big part of hunting, knowing your quary, what they do, where they go, and how to get them!! an extra 2ft/lb wont get you more rabbits!! lerning and getting better at what you do wil!! atb rk Quote Link to post

"looks like a proper gun to me, i want to get it tested" were his exact words. i was more pissed off he turned his nose up at my stingray! i used to love that gun. they took me to a police station and tested the gun. got it back and even got an apology from the copper confessing he knew nothing about airguns. oh and 3 points for my troubles! nice one! thats 9 now guess im fooked next time. mad al 146
hi i had my supersport chronod and it is running at 10.2 or something. I want to buy a new spring which is over 12fps but not by much the reason is i have a silencer which reduces my rifle by 1fps so if i had a 13fps rifle without the silencer it would be 12 with the silencer making my gun within the law. also which pellets do the police check rifles with so that i can chrono my rifle with these to stay within the law. folks you fall for one of these threads almost on a daily basis , just take the time to read what is being asked/suggested here and then read some of the replies Myself if it purely down to the individual if he/she wants to run the gaunlet, that's up to them and I'd say it's about time folk on here realised that they don't recognise a wind up when they see one, as nobody in their right feckin mind is gonna offer/share serious advice on stuff like this...................or are they? clubshot 22
It was stated in a Article in December 08 - National Press That thousands had been reported by Police for Fire Arms Offences And less than 100 had been issued with Jail Time Even when most fire Arms Offences have a Minimum of a Five Year Jail Term Supposed to worry Shooters about committing Offences Main problem is this Goverment has issues about Jailing Offender And do not have enough prision spaces for Offenders Aware that some Shooters have been offered the Choice of Gun's being Destroyed or going to Court Understand many have opted for Dustruction Aware of a Shooter with a Sub 6FP Target Rifle that keeps the Vermin out of his Trees in His Garden - Power is not the Only issue It's about placement I Shoot with a fair number of Fire Arms Officers - Club and Practical Pistol Who regularly have Air Gun's Sent off for testing Following report's and Traffic Accidents when a Air Gun is Discovered in a Vehicle As Under the VCR Bill , Air Gun's can only be carried between Shoots and home legally But seems large numbers keep them in Vehicles @ all times BOB/R Quote Link to post
Guest air gunner
I dont want the extra fps because im not killing efficiently just for the distance. in this weather the leaves grass make cracking noises like you wouldent believe! especialy where i shoot because its in the middle of knowhere no noise pollution at all. with my silencer on it fires at 9.2fps so ok I wont be getting an over power spring. i have thought about getting a pcp but dont really want to be buying one because i have only recently got this gun my first. has anyone bought a bsa replacement spring? the one that is £16 is it the same as i have fitted and what is the advantage of a £70 spring? longevity. obviosly if an unbelieable deal comes up for a AA s200 or S410 i will snap at the chance. but thanks for the info on the moderator and capability of my gun if i were to replace the spring to fire above the limit without the silencer. thanks. Take your gun to a good gunsmith and explain the situation and he will recomend the best course of action for you. Quote Link to post

hiho 5
couldnt you weld the silencer on so it cart be removed ? Quote Link to post
Guest hyperion
id say 90% of the time its not the spring thats a fault! its far more likely to be a worn seal some where alowing air to escape thats causing the rifle to loose power! cheers hyperion Quote Link to post
hughesey1552 0
barrell wont be str8 if you weld it, it will move all over the place! Quote Link to post
