Guest buster
I have found some more pics today of jade and her 1/2 sister romany. Romany was a stagnight bitch she was as fast as jade but a bit less stamina....jade was a country music bitch with some good irish blood in her (back in time) and many more good blood lines in her. Both of them were very fast bitches. I matched them both on this pic but jade the white bitch sent to catch them first and more cleverer but dont get me wrong they both could catch jan hares singlehanded This was when i won the supreme champions high peak L.T.& F. club should of gone in coutrymans weekly but they got mixed up with someone else.....i won quite a few shows before she broke her leg Quote Link to post

Guest bigfella
This is my story about my whippet greyhound, it all started when i brought her when she was 3 month old, i started trainin her the next day because i was excited, i got her retreivin 2 hand within a few days, i got her findin rabbit skins and retreivin straight 2 my hand within a few months, Duck wings and pigions 2. She caught her first young hare at 8 months old. When i started lampin with her i used 2 go with brother in law with is gun, he used 2 shoot rabbits in the rough and long grass i used 2 slip her and used 2 go and find them and bring them back 2 hand. then i started slippin her on the lamp, she would miss a few but catch quite alot sometimes she would overrun them but catch them when she turned. I got her jumpin 5 bar gates 4 fun. I wonce saw her jump up and caught a crow takin off from the grass it hung on her lip and she cried and never bothered with them again because it cut all her mouth she was only 9 month old. I started ferretin with her and she was a gud ferretin dog, marked very well, when she was 1 year old she was playin chase on the garden with my terriers and ran into a concreate linepost i heard such a crack and horrible scream i knew straight away my heart went in my mouth, i ran down the garden and checked her straight away could feel something wrong she couldnt walk on it i phoned my brother in law 2 take me 2 the vets, the vet felt it and wanted 2 ex-ray it and he did, she shattered her back knee cap and ripped all her ligament i was going 2 have her put 2 sleep, couldnt go through with it so i had it put right it cost me alot of money 2 do so but it was worth it. The vet said 2 me that she wouldnt run [bANNED TEXT] again but i took her home and thought i would try anyway, i brought a big cage 2 have her in the kitchen i gave her plenty of love and affection, and gave her vitimins and calcium and after 3 months i started walkin her steady and everytime i took her a walk it got further and further untill she was quite well then started takin her out on the mountain bike on the roads, after a year when she was fit and her leg was better i slipped her on a couple of hares she missed them because her turnin wasnt very well because of leg. I brought a greyhound lure and got her turnin again on a 50 pence piece, i took her a walk on the fields had her off the lead missin about she got a hare up, coures about a min and 1/2, 2 min turned it twice a couple of times and caught it on the third turn i cried with joy she retreived it straight back 2 hand the hare was screamin i had 2 kill it myself i ran back 2 the house where i live shoutin my partner showin her what she caught. I started takin her out alot and trainin her on the lure and never rarely missed rabbit and hares and in the mean time she had a few injures because she was very keen. She caught a few hares and rabbits then tried on fox the first fox bit her well but didnt put her off, she would take fox singlehanded but still wouldnt handle a crow. and one day i took her out on a january mornin because she would take january hare i wouldnt slip her on a march hare because a gud dog wouldnt need 2 caught a mad march hare, or on the lamp. And on that january morning she got a hare up had a gud course turned a few times and in the middle of the course she banged her front leg she was sreamin in pain and never gave in she caught the hare holdin it in her mouth i ran up to her because she wouldnt move took the hare off her and killed it and looked at her leg she was lyin on the floor in pain so i picked her up and walked home got home put a ice pack on it then took her 2 the vets, the vet said badly damaged her tendon, i took her home and by this time i spent a fortune on her and my partner had a go at me 4 gettin her smashed up but i couldnt stop slippin her because she thrilled me that much she was a drug because did everything i wanted her do and gave me that look everytime that she enjoyed it and in mean time she was gettin abit of arthritis in her back leg what was broken before, i got her some painkillers 4 arthritis i went on hols my mother in law looked after her and took a shine 2 her and my partner and mother in law kept naggin at me to let her have her and instead of thinkin about myself i thought about my dog what was the best 4 her and it broke my heart but i let my mother in law have her it upset me 4 along time because she was my best ever runnin dog i ever had, i regret never breedin with her because she was very keen and up 4 anything it took along time and i stiil think about the times we spent together and the pain that she went through 2 inpress me it wasnt just the huntin it was the show winnin that she did untill she broke her leg but the stupid judges wouldnt let her win because of her broken leg, before she broke her leg she won quite a few shows and supreme champions but i thought to myself that shows were 4( workin ) dogs not 4 walkin and peoples pets! And now a few years later i set myself up with a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 bull and he is showin the same interest but got abit more stronger frame he is only a year old he has started 2 impress me like my whippet greyhound he must b gettin gud because it takes alot 2 impress me because what a dog i had before. "HAPPY HUNTIN 2 U ALL " if anyone has any gud stories like this i would like 2 hear from you i would like 2 know the breed and what is ur thoughts. hi to all new as you can see nice post mate! i have just had a new pup in 3/4 lagunaxcollie x 3/4 laguna/bedlington i will get some pics up when i know how! happy trails to all F**K THE ***!!!
