clubshot 22
Shot in Middle of Fields with Straw Bales - arranged By Farmer Resulted in a larger number removed from His Fields - Was lucky as caught moving some old bales around And we made a good hide in middle of a Field - used it for several years Have used Camo Nets in Bushes and Trenches Try and get a couple for Decoyes - Seem to think it's safe if they see a few on the Ground Had very good results with Flappers and a Pigeon Magnet - BOB/R Quote Link to post
s horsfield 7
thanks for that .But can't get into the field co's its got oil seed rape on it, so it looks like a hide and the decoys in the edge. Thanks again for the advice Quote Link to post
midge28 6
been shooting over rape for several years and i always go onto the rape, you wont do any harm just walking over the rape at this time of year , a few decoys out about 30 yard and a good hide so the pigeons dont spot you hat or mask too., you must know what the pigeons are upto though, flight lines when there feeding and where or you could have a long wait , hope this helps a little Quote Link to post
s horsfield 7
some more welcome advice thanks.Anyone else what to add to that. Thanks Quote Link to post
midge28 6
glad to be of a little help, i find decoying can be hard at times, best advice i can give is just go to the fields and watch where the pigeons are coming from and feeding and at what times, you will normally find they stick to the same routes called flightlines and they normally use these same lines, try to intercept them on one of these lines or close as with a few decoys well placed, pigeons will spot you easy so make a good hide, Quote Link to post
