1st Edition, book in good condition, dust jacket a bit tatty, signed and dated Alan Bainbridge 21st june 1983, comes complete with 2 Waterloo coursing meet programmes from 1997.

i was at the auction 2 year ago when first edition number one with original sketches by nigel lynn was for sale i bid £2000 for it but it went to a telephone buyer for£2200, i was interested in it because i own the original bronzes in the book by nigel of two greyhounds coursing a hare , have a look at them under sculptures i also have a few oils by him, he book is a very good read by the way

"Rare book!!! very rare book" Yes, ask yourself why. Because no one bought it that's why. I gave mine away after about a month. High on romance, low on information. After reading it I thought it had been written by Barbara Cartland and published by Mills & Boon

This book should be banned. More people have died of boredom after reading it than died in the last major 'flu pandemic.

And before you reach for your quills, in order to reply, ask your self why it's no longer in print and hasn't been for years? Regards and Happy Chanukah. J.H.S.
