Guest night time my time
just back fireman saw munts rabbs but ground solid ,the stay was fine and meeting use made it worth while i used to go down every september ut got pissed of on my own lugging game and well its a bit difficult with some game lugging it better getting dropped of picked up ,was out a few years back with the guy frompakefield ferrrets had agood time ,rabbits but down that way not many running dog men or rougues ahah cheers mate i want to norfolk and couple months ago and couldn't see a single munty why? maybe you didnt ask the right people where the right places were?next time you come, notice that its full of forest and flat land in the north and the coastal areas are stuffed with every kind of deer there is,one thing you will notice is cause of the flat land and open feilds that (pre ban) you would need a fast stamina dog to take the bigger deer and a strong compact dog for the muntys in the forests,a lot of people are not prepaired for a 3/400 yard slip(to far they say !!) as in meny areas that is the only way to take your quarry, its good hunting country if you know what your doing and have the right dogs for which ever job your on, Quote Link to post
whin 463
ye you realy have to no the land down there i stayed there and worked there and got to no all the bits just like back home but the deer has increased big style ,time to have a cull legaly , on th e [bANNED TEXT] good nites like old years nite after midnite i walked the [bANNED TEXT] side of the wind on land were they were not to harrased ,still long slips but got close enough to catch you need to use the contours of the land more up and down along coastline which is good as you can get round beasts to get closer , as for rabbits there some [bANNED TEXT] bits were ther grass is tuffty and long and they clap ,hares well they never clapped and u have to run them hard all in all ive hunted these areas for 15 years on and off ,some real good land ,and i would say alittle money would get you permission or just a few favours Quote Link to post
whin 463
all along that beach you can get up to the qaurry if your quite,as some areas are never lamped but i would get local knowledge as i did meet guys lamping foxes with rifles they were al [bANNED TEXT] but i was on holiday so were easy oasy about me ,and as for long slips hares and deer not an old rabbit mate but if thtas whats there you chase it once you come up byyoull see a diffrent lay out on game and diffrent ways we huitn up here , localy they are never far from cover you need to stick tite to fence lines were they pop thru ,we are luckier up in scotland rabbits have better feeding and stay that bit longer but we have more to go at in some areas , if you ever go to aldringham coomon dirty wall martela tower westlton common areas like thta youl get good nites with a clever dog as they clap, but as i says you need to no whos about or on and off and move about only way , all i all agood area i caught several rabbs flushed three muntis a hare not including what we caught with nite time and fireman a good week ,ivwe always found you get good numbers along certain coastlines ., and nothing better than game to steady a good poaching dog than plenty running , all in all agood week , Quote Link to post
