Rabbithunter 456
I have been to blackpool over the weekend and my brother's been walking the dog. On sunday he had ran into something, havent a clue what but has a big puncture mark on the inside of his left rear leg and lots of scratches and a big scar on his forehead, I had him at the vets monday morning £111.65 it cost here is the itemised bill FIrst consultation £19.50 Sedation £27.32 Surgical procedure (shaved his leg!!) £13.86 Synulox Injection £3.58 Metacam injection £7.00 Metacam oral suspension £15.84 Clavaseptin tables x18 £16.00 Viatop Gel 20ml £8.55 Dont get me wrong i think the dog is worth the money but how do they justify chargin £27 to sedate the dog? They dont know if he will ever be able to run as normal again... which would be a really big shame, but i have faith. He has done me proud in his year of life and he is like my best mate It would be a shame for him not to run again....... only time will tell..... Quote Link to post

Guest Geordie
Sorry to hear that [bANNED TEXT],take the vets word with a pinch of salt about not running properly again. One of my mutts had one of her back legs and groin ripped to bits by a tosser with 2 staffy/bull types, the vets told me,after id paid out over 1000 quid, that she would never run properly again. Well she isnt the fastest of dogs, but she can still lamp and is a demon marking rabbit holes when were out ferreting, and unless you knew about her injuries you wouldnt notice she was any slower than another dog of her type. So chin up [bANNED TEXT] it may not be as bad as they first say Quote Link to post
Rabbithunter 456
he was back at the vets today for a check. She said it is looking okay for him returning to normal, provided he is rested and given his medication. Quote Link to post
