Bush Rummager 4,769
hi I have just got a 18 month old GSP. When i take her outside she becomes really hyper and sometimes abit headstrong. she is never still.when shes hunting and i call her back she comes running to me and then either goes past or turns around just before me and starts hunting again. But if i keep calling her name she comes to me but then wont stay still, she runs around me and then she goes off agin. What can i do to calm her down? thanks for reading any help will be appreciated Hello there mate, at 18mths she is still young, give her time to mature and she'll steady off..... only a bit though! Hyper??? that's what G.S.P's are all about mate, they just want to hunt! not interested at being at heel, no malice in it ..... its just how they're bred, when you do need to keep her at heel, use a strong voice and plenty of eye contact... I'm no expert, hope it helps though ( EDIT..... my fcuking english is shite ) Edited December 2, 2008 by Bush Rummager Quote Link to post
