Running 7
keep at it i have had staffs on rabbits used them brushing and they will givern time use their noses well on anything rabbits fox and once it clicks they will catch try keeping it on the lead first and get close so they can see whats is what then let them off althought they will never catch as much as a lurcher you will get some good runs keep at it Will do. he just seem's so stupid at time's but he is so fast for a staffy i just think if he saw the rabbits closer to him he would have more chance at catching and its just a bit of fun for him and keeps him well excercised. dont get frustrated with him he is still learning give him time and help him learn and still young run him and he will get quicker and better at it you are laying the foundations now nothing like it for exercise Quote Link to post

Try him on the lamp. he will have more of a chance to get to the rabbit of your choice (the closest one) Also as others have said take him out with an experienced dog and she will learn. I have a staffy and she has a good burst if pace over short distance but not very agile and tyres easily so dont bother taking her out much Quote Link to post
Brocc 0
I took my AB male out the other night and I spotted a fox in the distance and it hid amongst the the reeds. My boy did not see him but must of smelt the Fox, he just went beserk. I have never seen him react in this way before, he was acting more like a Blood Hound. Quote Link to post
