bez 0 Posted November 30, 2008 Report Share Posted November 30, 2008 i took advice from labsnlurchers of this site about retrieving my lurcher was messing about with retrieving coming half way generally pissing about.stuck with the dummy coming on great i could throw dummy 30 yds or more she would bring it back no probs soon as she gets a rabbit comes half way if im lucky generally pissing about with it .whats everbody advice on what to do next .shes 9 month old collie/grey cross Quote Link to post

When your in the field never go to the dog, if it wont bring the rabbit to you just walk away from the dog, it will most probably shite itself, thinking your gona leave it and come running. Also as the dogs only 9 months old dont over do any work in the field. Is there a particular toy she likes? maybe a ball or something, you could use this as her reward, when she gives you a rabbit she gets to chase the ball, she might be just wanting to carry on 'playing'!
