Pigeon Controller 1
I tried my hand at setting snares last week, 15 set in runs on the pad marks, next morning no rabbits. In fact nothing had moved none of the snares looked as if anthing has been near them . The farmer has asked me to ferret another part of the farm this is a 30ft by 100ft clay cliff between two fields. it is very difficult to purse net due to its steep banks. I could longnet it but some of the holes at the base of the cliff look large enough for foxes and badgers and I have a regard for my ferrets. At the base of the cliff it is short grass then winter wheat which they are down to the earth for a good 2/300 yards out into the field. Is it possible to set snares in the entrance of the smaller holes to try and reduce the rabbit population or should I try stinking then out into berries that I can ferret or longnet. I would like snare if possible any Ideas among you snare experts??? He's also got pigeons on his rape and thats a lot easier as I can see these to shoot them.. Pigeon Controller Quote Link to post

Pigeon Controller Have you thought about spring trapping the burrows with Fenn Mk6 traps? Quote Link to post
Netter 0
I think I would go with Matt The Rat. I have 2 old chalk pits which are full of rabbits, and because ferreting and shooting aren't practical, I trap them instead. Quote Link to post
