Lewdan 17 Posted November 17, 2008 Report Share Posted November 17, 2008 Had an invite to go with two mates last night, who had been asked to get rid of some rats in the barns and outbuildings at a local farm, using air rifles and lamp, havent done this for years so i thought i,d tag along. pulled up at farm yard, got the gear ready, into the first building, switched on the lamp probably about 6 rats running all directions so confused i could not get a shot off this seemed to be the pattern all night they wern.t playing fair by the time we called it a night we only had about 5 rats but boy, did i enjoy the thrill of going into those dark buildings, listening for the squeeks, and getting back to what i used to do years ago I must do it again!!!!!! any one else done some rat shooting lately??? So went the next day fully equipped Kicked the store door, out he came blam! I think he was dead, But the first I've shot in a long time. Quote Link to post

spike25blue 55 Posted November 17, 2008 Report Share Posted November 17, 2008 well done mate i shoot rats everyday at work i use a small deben stinger gun light with red filter and it dont seem to scare them as much it puts the light just where u need it and not everywhere else so if there are others around you dont scare them off.... and meens you get more kills atb rob Quote Link to post
