it is hard going on the hills mate, you got to really want it to be out there when its freezing cold and wet and your trying to dig or move stones to get to your dog,or find your way back to the van in the dark or fog,but that's what makes the sport more exiting for me.

your right there mate, i always used to hunt the low lands once we started doing the hills i don't bother any more.

out today rubbish weather so just checked a few holes on the mountain,farmer down bellow been losing a few pheasants, lurchers took a line out of a rush bed for a few hundred yards and marked a tidy earth,on with the b+f in went peg she was digging on and baying for about an hour, finally decided to open up to her at1.0 helped her to get through a bottle neck she soon met her quarry and the baying stopped ,humanely dispatched the very fat vixen,and the dogs rewarded with the carcass,off home for a pork dinner here's a few pictures off my phone so may not come up very well

well a good day today scent was a bit better than the last few weeks,brindle pup rose a hair she done really well being only 8 months got a good nose on her,checked a lot of holes and rock piles nothing in tho,managed to find 2 foxes they hunted 1 for about half an hour didnt manage to get him,put another up and made short work of it heres a few pics
