jazz_11 5
hello i bought my air arms s410 the other day, its got a uprated spring in, which you can feel as its harder to load. under the scope mount there is a little hole, which is the power adjusting screw. now i want to up the power just slightly, (NOT ABOVE 12FT LB) i just want to know how much power increase am i looking at per a full turn and is it a small * screw driver which is used. also what is it increasing, the tension on the spring.? please i want to get it sorted and chronod for sunday as i am out with scuzy and i am looking forward to it.. i was out last sunday down my permission and after having a word with the farmer he asked please do not shoot the birds off the barns so we walked around the farm and it was crap didnt shoot anything.. plenty of ducks were there and a couple hundred starling... then i had a shot out of the car window driving along the farm road on a crow and i missed trajectory of a .22 takes lots of getting used to lol Edited November 14, 2008 by jazz_11 Quote Link to post
andy s410c 63
I'm a bit confused Jazz Your s410c has a uprated spring?? is that in loading bolt??Also you have recoil on a PCP??Is the recoil on the bolt??If the gun is new the bolt can be a bit stiff, notchy but i don't understand mate...also if it's a new gun i believe they can't be tampered with(??). Get the gun chrono'd before you try any "adjusments" yourself after all you would'nt want your collar felt unless your on FAC of course. Quote Link to post
MRD 3
hello i bought my air arms s410 the other day, its got a uprated spring in, which you can feel as its harder to load and also there is more of a recoil.. now... under the scope mount there is a little hole, which is the power adjusting screw. now i want to up the power just slightly, (NOT ABOVE 12FT LB) i just want to know how much power increase am i looking at per a full turn and is it a small * screw driver which is used. also what is it increasing, the tension on the spring.? please i want to get it sorted and chronod for sunday as i am out with scuzy and i am looking forward to it.. i was out last sunday down my permission and after having a word with the farmer he asked please do not shoot the birds off the barns so we walked around the farm and it was crap didnt shoot anything.. plenty of ducks were there and a couple hundred starling... then i had a shot out of the car window driving along the farm road on a crow and i missed trajectory of a .22 takes lots of getting used to lol I thought a S410 was a pcp thus having No spring? and the gun will do 12ft lb from the box? So "AS NEW". Is this a wind up? Edited November 14, 2008 by MRD Quote Link to post

Deker 3,491
Hammer Spring perhaps but this should not give "recoil" although it will make cocking harder! BUT 12ft lb guns do NOT have Heavy duty Hammer Springs Quote Link to post

jazz_11 5
oh i dont know can anyone please just tell me about the screw thats all i want to know i am very happy with the gun lols they do have springs mate... as far as i know all pcps have springs in them. because on my scorpion you had to remove tha action and then under the 2 trigger bolts to get the plastic circle thing off the back where you can then adjust it using something wide like a chizel to increase the tension on the spring... so pcps do have a spring. agrifabs 0
oh i dont know can anyone please just tell me about the screw thats all i want to know i am very happy with the gunlols i was under the impresion that the s410 had a plug under the scope and it has to be drilled out to get to the screw, therefor if it has to go back to the factory for warrenty work and the plug has been tampered with they will void the warrenty, Quote Link to post

Deker 3,491
I doubt it... edit from above Hello. My name is Chris and I'm your moderator for the duration of our journey.
