there is no books on the market, in the last hundred years that will tell you how to snare rabbits correctly , for the simple fact is every author who has wrote about it couldn,t set snares properly , right up until modern day books every author has practically copied each other , with the same shit set witha 4 inch loop at 3 to 4 fingers high , all the field sports writers are the same , every article you read is the same crap , small noose and set low mentality. if you read what i have put up at the top of the first page , on professional rabbit snaring , plus if you purchase woodga,s dvd. that will help you immensely , you may think i,m abrupt, but i,m telling you the truth, allthese latter and modern day authors should hang their heads in shame , for the misleading nonsense thats been written about rabbit snaring , as there have been many kids and beginners who have tried their heart out and got nowhere fast. after reading books and articles written in magazines , it must have been very frustrating for a lot of people over the years , setting with tiny nooses and low to the ground , then suddenly finding out the truth many years later , thats not how its done at all. anyway take care hope this helps.

ive read some of the articles by g.s waters if thats you, and found them informative and interesting although i found the drawings hard to understand ( im a complete novice :icon_redface: ) ive pm'd woodga and am just waiting for a response. And as for being abrupt :hmm: nah i apreciate people being straight forward :good:

I too was looking for any books on snaring when I first started but found hardly anything, but i did find the articles on here by G.S. waters/woodga a great help. I thought the illustrations were slightly confusing especially when looking for beats but once your out in the field it becomes perfectly clear. There is a wealth of knowledge on this site im sure what ever you'll need you'll find on here.

your probably right corymank but im bad for getting shit loads of litrature and dvds etc when theres something i take an interest in. :whistling:

I understand what you say, but steer clear of the books. Listen to Snareman, and anything that you find unclear, then ask. You won't find any more accurate tried and tested info, than you will in snareman and Woodga's articles. Knowing nothing of snareing is an advantage, soak it up on here. You will remember forever that the info you got on here was the business.
