Tyla 3,179
Took Tyla out for the first time last night since she got hurt. The plan was for my mate to shoot a few with the air rifle and for her to retrieve them as a confidence builder. The weather was crap still, light and foggy in places Anyway, first field lots of rabbits but lamp shy except one. Got within range and my mate fired, i thought he hit and slipped her. He hadnt but she turned it twice and caught it The rest of the night was the same, few rabbits and no hard slips but she caught three of the four she was slipped on. The puppy came within inches of taking his first ever rabbit on the lamp, he tripped right at the last moment and missed it into the hedge but it was a great effort and im sure he will soon. A really good night with me, my missus and my mate all enjoying ourselves and the dogs having a great time! To be fair to my mate he is left handed, shooting Amy's right handed gun so he didnt really get a fair chance but i enjoyed being smug anyway Quote Link to post

Adam-RunningDog 1
Nice one mate ide rather give th lurcher a chance than the air rifle so i let the lurcher take more of them out these days rather than the air rifle i got carried away when i first had it its alot more exciting with the lurcher catching them, Best of luck in the future mate Quote Link to post
