Alright everyone now theres young rabbits about now everywhere i ferret ive just been sorting my nets out and need to buy a few in i only have ever used nylon type nets i was thinking buying some hemp type nets what do u lads think r the best

I would say hemp is the best but it needs drying well after use else it will rot,hemp doesnt snag on twigs etc as much as nylon. nylon is cheaper to buy but you could learn to make your own hempnets to cut the cost. to be honest i use a mixture of both hemp and nylon nets when ferreting and favour nylon nets for open holes and hemp for awkward holes in brambles etc

WHy not use Spun Nylon. Its got the qualities of hemp. But dosent rot.

I use Hemp nets, and hang them over the radiator when they're wet, all my nets inc, Longnets are kept next to the radiator.

you can get them from KP and s nets and i think they cost about £3

I like spun nylon better because it does rot and it does tangle like nylon nets do
