Guest little_lloyd
Well sat here this evening watching over the back feilds as it started to get dark,, The little birds making there way to roost and composing there last song of the day,, The rabbits starting to come out of the thick dark hedgerows that their warrens lie under,,The Cows heading for home,, The chicken where all cooped up with the odd one still sat out side,, Then i notice Charlie emerge from the top corner of the big pasture feild ,, Make her way down the hedge past the farm to the usual evening 'hang out'. Have nout else to tonight so waited for it to get much much darker, And had one thing on my mind,, RABBITS lol Anyway took my handy 243 i call 'bramble' Ws not an ideal night,, i could see pretty much everywhere and make out anything without the need for a lamp. Anyway crossed the road from mine down the bottom to the valley had a good look down there,, mostly stubble feilds that have been drilled, lined with thick hedges holding little but nout,, Seen the usual lot down there Four rabbits,, Family of rats that have found a fox carcasse in the hedge and have decided to take up residence  Two of those lovely inoccent badgers,, Ohh it its really nice to see them on thier nightly doings lol. Anyway things looked pretty shite down here to me,, It meant one thing. Crossed the road and got on some large livestock pasture feilds that normally hold a fair ammount of foxes,, But dont get your hopes up there all lamp shy ,, But tonight one was not that clever,,Opened the gate very very quiet and my dog bramble was pulling his lead,, so lamp went on and there was Charlie making her way away from us ,,Hold on sunshine So i took my time,, took bramble out of his slip and shot this very nice little vixen,, First Bramble has came across,,Up untill now has only shot rabbits hares,,But the mouth of the gun got a nasty bite somehow from the fox? Very pleased how the younggun has coped with its first fox,, First of many i hope i can safely say Quote Link to post
