Guest JohnGalway
Going to be calm, not too much cloud I'd say and a bright moon and just so it won't be easy I think I'll bring the shotgun Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
Well John, a belated start to your lamping season! Keep us posted I wouldn't be using your .223 for a little while after I fired it, after the effect I had on Sounder's rifle SS Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
I had planned a later start this year, only lambs in Spring to worry about so no point in diving into it headlong as I've done before. There were a few complaints from other shooters of no foxes to be found I'm not really bothered too much about the .223 until sometime near Christmas. I must zero it first with that new batch of ammo. What did you do to Sounders gun?! Should I be worried? Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
Let's just say that after we went out on our first nights lamping, with that big bag of foxes, it would not group within two inches at 100 yards. Mind You it could also have something to do with his cleaning kit not getting the exercise it needs, hundreds of rounds in between springs to mind Minor Technicality some might say, one person in particular  A lot of rounds were fired until "When did you last clean it?" sprang to mind SS Quote Link to post
sounder 9
YOUR JUST A SHIT SHOT SS 2" GROUP MY HOLE AND FOR THE RECORD I DID CLEAN IT JUST NOT THE WAY IT'S SHOULD OF BEING,KNOWLEDGE BET ME THERE,AND I AM MAN ENOUGH TO SAY IT BEFORE EVERYONE SLATES ME ON HERE FOR THIS !!!!!!!!! Anyone want to buy a secondhand Remington and Sako? Both will shoot around corners Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
I think I touched a nerve there! Hmmm.... A Second Hand Remmy and Sako you say John? I wish you luck, just don't put the letters "SS" in the advert Cillit Bang? Need a lot more ba................................ Maybe I should stop talking now before, I become Sounder's Enemy No.1 SS P.S This aint the dog section so you wont be slated Quote Link to post

Guest JohnGalway
I was out for a look around my own farm, not an eye to be seen! Quote Link to post
Vegeta 0
You just have em scared sh*tless John after last year. Was out Monday night and we saw 6 in one field. It was madness, they were running around like bloody rabbits. This is right beside our favourite duck pond so they need thinning. The battery is gone in my nightforce (left it on for 2 weeks straight ) so we took one of the lads .22wmr and he couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. Two of them came in very close, one of them scared me as he came into 8 yards, I could see him with no lamp on. Oh to have brought the shotgun. The other lad came into 20 yards sat up straight and proud as if he was a trials dog and Tack took a shot with the .22wmr and missed The nightforce is hopless without the illuminated reticle when lamping. Must get that battery changed and put a dent in their numbers. We're the only ones who lamp the whole club. Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
Why didn't you shoot the 8 yards fella? Stopped a fox at 8 yards with a shot once, was standing too which is never my favourite. The battery is gone in my NF as well but I never use the ill ret, previous owner seems to have done though. Lol@couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat, yeah, I know some like that. I do a good impression of it myself by times. Methinks you'll be parting with that Nightforce soon Quote Link to post
