richie 1 Posted September 19, 2008 Report Share Posted September 19, 2008 just got a slot on my ticket for a .223, ive decided to go for a remington 700 as i like the look & feel of the rifles & theres a few good reviews about them... im stuck between getting the sps varmint, tactical or the police. could anyone enlighten me with any pro`s & cons with what they have experienced, ill also be getting it screw cut & will be needing a moderator, so your views on that also please... last thing, 1/9 or a 1/12 twist, ill be shooting out to 250/300 yards max. thanks rich Quote Link to post

Mr_Logic 5 Posted September 19, 2008 Report Share Posted September 19, 2008 Then you want an SPS Tactical. It's cheap, 1:9 twist so it shoots pretty much anything you like. It has a 20" barrel so good from a vehicle. I have one and it's superb. My only trouble is that it's too heavy for carrying so it busts targets at Bisley now. Can't recommend highly enough. If you're feeling rich you can get the LTR, same action/barrel but in a better stock. Quote Link to post
