how old is the gun mate?

best bet is a service by a good gun smith or even better back to bsa, id get in touch with bsa and see what they say!

id put money on them taking it back and sorting it for you!

A gas ram changes the rifle significantly. You'll either love it or hate it but you will get consistent shots.

 

An ox spring will also change the rifle significantly. It will turn it into an expensive piece of shit. :D

 

If you take no other advice from this forum... Don't Use Ox Springs.
