short spade roughneck

i just got one of these of the dreaded bay, fibreglass shaft with a tempered head and rubber handle. its a nice short spade for close work

im yet to use it but seems study enough and has a life time warranty

 

it looks bigger in the pic but is actually quite short

What`s the actual length of it, and how much did you pay?

Do you think it would do as a clearing out shovel in tight spots (Terrier work)

or more suited to be a ferreting shovel?

here is a bit more ripped of the ebay ad , apparantly there is a shorter one as well but i can honestly say this spade will take a bit to bust it , £19.99

 

the only reason i got it was that it is so light
