SportingShooter 0
My First ever? Hmmm......... Interesting one. It was a Magpie I seem to remember. Shot out of a tree with my BSA Meteor. I was 8(I think). Not spectacular or gruesome. Just a dead bird. Was in the tree now on the ground. SS Quote Link to post
woodchip 2
my first kill was a pigeon with my dads .22 BSA meteor when i was 9 . we used to keep racing pigeons and we had this old scruffy feral that used to hang around he even managed to get in to the loft a few times for a free feed and i was out side with dad and the little sod was on the roof of the house and the birds were coming back from a race so he was sat there all on his own so dad went to the shed and got the gun out the bed sheet he kept it in and opened a old rusty tin of WASPS he handed me the gun and we went down to the loft where he broke the barrel for me loaded it and told me to aim at its head using the old iron sights so i did and i pulled the trigger but the bird just sat there i remember the loud CLUNK it made so he loaded it again and told me to aim at its body and shoot so i did and the bird tumbled down the roof and landed with a THUD on the floor and was flapping all over the patio so dad took the gun and dispatched it and i remember spending ages cleaning up the blood so mum wouldnt find out we had the gun out as she hates guns ... good times Quote Link to post

hagar 5
My first time out was fantastic , rabbits hitting the nets left right n center then came the moment my father handed me my first bunny n said stretch him boy i held him by the back legs n looked in his sad eyes , i began to feel sorry for the little creature and a chill travelled up my spine as i broke his neck but by the end of the day i was immune and i knew that it is natural country life even though i was 9 years old i understood this its just a pity the bunny huggin townies dont have the understanding of a 9 year old I really got the bug after that and have hunted at every oppertunity since Quote Link to post
Guest buster321c
I think if you have doubts about it , you should`nt do it . Any doubts ( if your using an airrifle for instance ) will cause you to have maybe secondthoughts on your purpose , and you should only shoot if you can make a clean kill So for me it never entered my head , it was just pest control Quote Link to post
McSparkie 0
Only had my first recently. Felt OK about it as it was clean and quick. Quote Link to post

cometa300s 20
i loved my first kill. a sence of satisfaction with it being a rat was when i was about 12 or 13 years of age. Quote Link to post
