fishfish 17
Recently I chanced upon an orchard of pears , within 20 minutes i was off with 30lb of pears! 99% of my fruit preserving is done with hermeticlly sealable jars , to you and I kilner or L'parfait jars. heres an intresting recip[e which will be relished on christmas eve with some whipped cream! 3lb of pears peeled cored and quatered 1 pint of dark mead. a pinch of cinamon. fill the jar full bar 1 inchof thetop then pour over the mead and cinamon mix.place in a boiling pan as per normal hot bath principle for 1 1/2 hours. These pears wil quite literally keep for years in a cool dark place.
