IF SHE SHE TAKES SHE WILL GO OUT OF SEASON I THINK AFTER A WEEK Quote Link to post

gnipper 6,879
If the hob chews her bad when you put them back together then you don't have to leave them for 4 days ive had/known several good sized litters from just one mating. When the jill is pregnant she will start to realy show about a week before she drops so give her loads of extra bedding to make a nest with and leave her to it, you will be able to hear the kits squeaking when they are born without having to disturb the jill and looking in. I've seen it myself when someone can't resist messing with the kits and then wonder why there is only a couple left or none Leave handling till they are a couple of weeks old at least to let the mother become attached and if you really need to go in the nest take the mother out and put her somewhere else where she can't see but be careful coz some jills get a bit lively to say the least . Other than that just leave them to it but if you handle the kits from an early age they are a lot better Gnipper Quote Link to post
