Guest baldie
To a degree...he,s right. The 204 uses a lot less powder, and is more ballistically efficient than the 22-250, at 500 yards its got less drop, and less wind drift, and it wont burn barrels as bad either, personally, i think its the finest small centrefire for fox, there is , i have a 223 and a 204. rob reynolds uk 3
all i can say about the .204 is its got to be one of the best rifles iv ever fired ,theres no kick ,which means you get to see your fox drop in the scopes .flat flying out to 300yrds ..for foxs this is the tool ..nothing wrong with the 22.250 just that the 204 is easyer to use and nicer to shoot and theres no over kill with the .204 Quote Link to post

Guest baldie
I mainly shoot the 32 grain v-max in mine buddy, behind 28 grains of h4895, gives around 4000 fps, and f**k, it shoots flat the berger 35 grain is good, and i,ve managed to get some 39 grain sierra blitzkings, which have a thinner jacket than the v-max, and should be even more explosive.Had a dog and a vixen with it last night. nutshot 0
thanks baldie sounds like an ideal gun for foxes. keep up the good work. it will be interesting to know how you get on with the heavier sierra blitzkings and wether they effect the trajectory much. Quote Link to post
