"Traders dont offer a fair price". Look at it from a traders point of view. I,ve worked in the gun trade on, and off for a few years, the shop owners have to make a living, they have staff to pay, and they have overheads for premises, lighting , heating , buisness rates etc. If you saw the profit margins for guns, you would laugh. If a dealer makes 18 to 20 % mark up, he is doing very well, fishing tackle is as bad.A fair deal for a second hand gun, in excellent condition, is half its purchase price, the dealer has to check it over, and maybe overhaul it, pay vat on it, and still put a bit on, for himself, and remember, you can usually walk into a dealer, who you bought the gun from, and know he will take it back, or you could sell it private, and have it for a month, whilst numerous "tyrekickers" ring you and never turn up, or knock you down to what the dealer would give you.

FAIR COMMENT BUT YOU WILL ALWAYS GET MORE FOR YOUR GUN PRIVATE(IF YOU ARNT A TWAT)THAN SELLING TO A DEALER AS THEY GOT OVER HEADS AS YOU SAID AVERAGE JOE AINT.....SELL PRIVATE [bANNED TEXT] :good:
