HW80 and Bisley magnum .22

On another site (which I will not name) I was informed that the constant use of my HW80 and Bisley magnums would result in a buggered spring.

 

 

Thoughts, chaps?

i got told something like that a minimum weight pellet of 13 grain and a maximum of 18 if i want my spring to last long

Nope. Pellet weight will have little do do with spring "wear" IMHO. Lets be honest, you should be changing the spring at least once a year anyway. Personally unless the gun is and FAC, and over the limit, then i would avoid magnums. I have had a great deal of success with superdones and field target trophy's. The magnums are too heavy for spring guns IMHO.......good hunting JD
