BlueCoyote 0
ok i know you can only do your best while raising your kids.. and some fall short for one reason or another... sometimes they just dont care about being parents. but i have a complaint.. why do people continue to hate their parents in spite of the fact that these people are now GROWN and live on their own and dont have to rely on their parents anymore? like for example i was talking to someone a moment ago about Aesop's Fables.. she'd never heard of them before... because her parents didnt read normal type stories to her as a kid. no mother goose either.... then she said she hated her mother my mom didnt read these to me either but i did go to the library to read them, not to mention the teacher used to read them to us in class..... so i mean.... damn! So you had a sucky childhood! are you going to let that ruin your adult life? why?? Edited August 8, 2008 by BlueCoyote

ade33uk 86
One of the only poems i can remember and not just for the swearing by Philip Larkin They f uck you up, your mum and dad. They may not mean to, but they do. They fill you with the faults they had And add some extra, just for you. But they were f ucked up in their turn By fools in old-style hats and coats, Who half the time were soppy-stern And half at one another's throats. Man hands on misery to man. It deepens like a coastal shelf. Get out as early as you can, And don't have any kids yourself.
BlueCoyote 0
lol funny poem and i guess its true for some people. i'll admit it was hell living with my mom but i look at it like i would a job.... i quit that job. i have a new job now. they arent related..... i discipline my kids and give them firm boundaries to keep them safe... she never disciplined, and the boundaries she had were more to do with her peace of mind than my safety. i didnt have a driver's license when i moved out! do you know how hard it is to get to and from work and home when you have no car? in fact its hard to get a job without a car.. and you cant have a car without a job.... but i dont hang that over her head every time i see her lol i just made notes on what NOT to do to my kids!
