Hi all, can i tell you about the weekend i have just had.

 

On friday i went to some of my permission. I also when to seek some more. This being the real reason i made out. It is prime prime rabbiting land.

I had awalk first to look at the rabbits, my god, not just 100;s but 100's and 100's. Warrens for as far as the eye can see. Problem is, it top phesant and grouse land. With regular shoots, and feeding cages all over. Long story short, i plucked up the corage to go to the gamekeepers house. What a nice guy, but his answer was no, and that he had 3 sets of rabbiters already employed on his land. I stood there and carryed on chatting, and mentioned that i would be alone if he let me on. This changed things, and shortly after i had his phone number, he mine, and i was granted what i wanted. The deal being, i go on the beating team for him. I also get paid, plus i will learn all the lie of the land. Chuffed i went off, had 2hours rabbiting before i left and caught nineteen.

 

Saturday i took one of my pups to have a real run at some rabbits. She nailed 4 and retrieved then to with in 10yrds of me!! Another happy man.(she is 11mths now)

 

Sunday i went to my first ever dog show!! I entered my youngest pup. First off was the puppy class, i didnt know what the f... i was doing in the ring, it was pretty funny really. He only went and won first!! Beating afgan hounds, labs and all other things, plus another lurcher. I couldnt quite believe it, it was p... funny. They had all been brushed and groomed, he was scruffy as fack. Next up, lurcher class, he only went and won it!!! 2 firsts in 2 events!! And there was some lovely lurchers there, plus a cpl of show winners!! I thought what the hell is going on!

So then i was told i had to wait around for best in show, there were 12 classes, but mine had won 2, so there was 11 dogs. Every1 gathered, he trotted around the ring lifting his head like i couldnt beleive, and yes guess what, he only won best non pedigree dog in show!!! 3firsts. The judges told me, i must keep showing him!!

 

Monday, i was in court over a legal battle, it went on from 10am till 4.30pm, it was a real shit day. I was then quizzed and ripped apart by a bitch of a barrister for an hour. About my life, buisness, everything what had f..k all to do with it. We only went and won the case! It has been going on for 2yrs and 10mths...

 

Now if that isnt a top weekend, i dont know what is.
