Netter 0
I have been busy cleaning up some of my Dads ancient collection of MK1 Rabbit Traps, as I'm going to Speed Dip them for him, while cleaning them up I noticed that some have different shaped jaws, seemingly the newer ones so I'm presuming that it's an improvement in them. Also out of curiosity who still stamps their initials into the trap pan incase someone knicks them? Edited August 7, 2008 by Netter Quote Link to post

ianrob 2
Thanks for bringing back memories mate. Many years ago, when my dad was still alive, we used a few of these traps, and I'd forgotten about them. Very good they were too. We had a couple of buries in the middle of fields under electricity pylons and the rabbits wouldn't bolt to ferrets very well at all. We cleared them using these traps, though eventually after a few years of problems the estate keepers cymaged them. We were only amateurs and with limited time available mustn't have sorted the problem quick enough. For whatever reason once they were gassed, I don't remember them being recolonised. Fenn was constantly making alterations to them - to make them better, cheaper or simply because that was all he had at hand to make them with. I know another trapper that swears by them - and he knows a thing or two about trapping rabbits. I couldn't get on with them myself - I much prefer the Imbra as a rabbit trap OTC Quote Link to post
