Rolfe 2
Just some pictures from a rabbit cage trapping situation..........this time it is the flower bed on the golf course. The rabbits run through under the shrubbery plants and get intercepted by the waiting cage trap. So far this cage has trapped 27 rabbits.........and is still catching..........this is this mornings catch. Not many mornings go by when there is not a rabbit waiting for me. The cage has not been baited since the first catch.........the scent of the previous occupants is enough to entice the next visitor. Quote Link to post

Rolfe 2
Would snare's no work just as well there ??? They might.........BUT.........the flower bed is right under the clubhouse balcony and some of the members wouldn't take too kindly to a squealing rabbit leaping about while they were sitting drinking their Pimms. So by setting a cage....the rabbit sits nice and quiet and hidden from view until i come to collect it. Rolfe. Quote Link to post
zig zag wanderer 0
You know your rabbit trapping Rolfe. I have a rabbit trapping job on at the moment. I trapped the same garden last year and caught 69 rabbits in cages. The same situation this year but something is getting to the cages before me. Rabbits are being skinned, dismembered, half eaten. In one cage was a skull and eyeballs. others had missing limbs. The cages were hardly damaged but often moved some distance. I think foxes because of the lack of damage to the cages. Badgers or foxes? I don't see a solution. I don't fancy staking the cages as I will get more cage damage. Quote Link to post
