bowers1986 3 Posted July 20, 2008 Report Share Posted July 20, 2008 hi can anybody help my mate shot a hare today flushed by his dog he was wondering how long you hang it for without gutting it cheers id drop shit bag straight out but my prefrence Make sure no flys can get to it if doing this or it'll be crawling with maggots within half hour,In cooler weather leave the guts in and hang for upto 8-10 days.Alternatively in warmer weather id just gut it straight away and get it put in the freezer as hares smell pretty strong when freshly killed never mind 10 days down the line.
