long distances shots at clays with ..243

supose you could always replace the wood with solid metal bar?

i don't so mate where would it end up my 243 can go in and out of a steel bar at 100yards

i stick with the wood it safer i think

Can you tell i only shoot air rifles :D. A keeper friend has a sheet of about 1" steel as his back plate for his paper targets while zeroing and that gun shoots straight through that were as the air rifle just leaves a skid mark!

what about snapshots idea but have 2 legs on it but leave a foot either end before you put the clays in so you won't end up shooting the wood then....unless you're a really shit shot :laugh:
