comanche 3,281
Helped a tree sugeon friend yesterday and the home(Tudor Mansion) owner has booked me for next time his elusive mole appears in the restored walled garden and tennis court. He's tried so -called humane traps ,and brought some mole repellent back from France on one of his trips . Nothing too unusual .More worrying though was what appeared to be something that reminded me of the little Yellow Submarine toys from the sixties half- buried in the ground. Also from France...An anti-mole land -mine by Christ!... Apparently it blows -up ,or I assume,blows-down when an unfortunate moley gets too near. A coloured panel tells the home-owner /sapper if it's been triggered... Anyone else heard of these? Also, bearing in mind that hopefullyI'll have the job of more conventional mole cotrol and may have to unset one of these these things ,how safe are they to handle ? Quote Link to post
Steve Albano 21
I believe the product is called "taupe gun", which is a pretty funny product name. You can see it on French ebay, not that I want to promote that site, as the b*****ds de-listed my traps that I had for sale there, giving me some incomprehensible (to me) explanation in French as to my offense. Probably were upset that my listings showed some dead moles. Quote Link to post

Strange that a country and indeed E-bay site that promotes a device like Le "Taupe gun" should blanche at showing a few dead moles.Perhaps if they would have been happier to show your pictures if the "taupes " had been in tiny ,shrapnel -riddled pieces !
