This morning

Recommended Posts

Was out this morning. I netted up a set, about 24 holes and put poley jill and hob in. I bolted one down the far end of the mound and as i was dealing with him, another bolted with a ferrets mouth on its arse.

I got another from this set.

I walked down near a beck and seen a rabbit enter a set, i netted up, about 14 holes and i bolted two with both ferrets.

I then walked onto the moorland and the dog chased a couple of rabbits into a set that is in a small woodland (just growing woodland)

I netted up about 30 holes, i have caught 4 or 5 out this set before.

There is a few holes under gorse bush that i didnt net, suprisingly i only lost one due to that. I bolted 3 into the purse nets and dug down to two, one dig was about a foot and the other 2 foot.

Ended ther day with ten rabbits, I managed to get a bit of action on the video camera, and a couple of 'end of the day' photo's which didnt come out very well, the lens must be dirty on it?

You cant see it in the picture, but to the right there is a dry stone wall. The first time me and my mate walked it, he said he pushed about 20 rabbit through.

I longnetted it on my own one morning and i pushed about 10 out, only 3 got in the net though, with the ground being so rough, at points the line wasnt on the ground so i watched the rabbits go straight under it.

I didnt bother doing the longnetting yesterday as the cover has died and i reckon the rabbits will be underground with the weather being a bit colder.

I walked through it any way though to give the dog a run, and he never put anything out.
