thurso jack 3
Anyone have any ideas on how to make a home smoker and whether smoked rabbit and pigeon is any good? the best ones are old metal filling cabinets, cut a hole in the roof for the smoke to get out of and that it, all you need is wood chips and a product to smoke. FJager 0
A small corrugated iron shed with dry hardwood sawdust in a line on the floor, light from both ends, let it burn itself out and then replace. The metal cabinet sounds like it would do nicely though.

thurso jack 3
also the most important thing in smoking fish is the pre smoke brine, basically cover it in salt for half an hour, this enables the smoke to penetrate the fish better.
Edgar 1
There was a bit in seatrout fishing by Hugh Falkus and he smoked seatrout in a tin. Can't remember how exactly and it was a library book.
